TEAMON Car Rental is operated by TEAMON TRADING (202103180290 / PG0514072-U), No 428, Lengkok Perdana 9/3, Bandar Perdana, 08000 Sungai Petani, Kedah. This policy explains how we handle your personal data, in line with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.
What we collect
- Your name, phone or WhatsApp number, email and address.
- Your IC or passport and driving licence (numbers and photos), and photos taken when you collect the car.
- The name and phone number of your guarantor (a family member).
- Booking details such as dates, car, delivery location and payments.
- Messages you send us on WhatsApp.
Card and online banking details are entered on our payment provider's page. We do not see or store them.
Why we use it
- To take and manage your booking.
- To verify your identity and driving licence.
- To prepare the rental agreement, invoices and receipts.
- To handle summonses, fines, damage or accidents with the authorities and insurers.
- To reply to your questions and send booking updates on WhatsApp.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
Who we share it with
- Payment, messaging, hosting and software providers that help us run our service, only as needed for that service.
- Authorities such as PDRM, JPJ and local councils, and insurers, when required for summonses or accidents, or by law.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising.
Unpaid charges
We keep records of unpaid charges, summonses or damage. These may affect whether we can rent to you again.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as needed for your rentals and for the period required by law, for example for accounting and tax records.
Security
Your data is stored on secured systems. Only staff who need it for your booking can access it.
Your rights
You may ask to see or correct your personal data, or withdraw your consent, by contacting us. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to rent a car to you.
